Our Inspiring Story
Stronger Man didn’t start on a stage.
It started in a living room—with two men who knew there had to be more.
Faced with a life of isolation, Stronger Man founder Clint Russell reached a breaking point. The weight of hiding, pretending, and carrying it all alone was too much to sustain. But everything began to change when he stepped into real community—where confession wasn’t weakness, but strength.
In brotherhood, Clint found what every man is truly searching for: to be fully known and still fully loved.
Not long after, Clint Russell and Wiley Gilliam found themselves sitting on a couch, wrestling with a simple but honest reality:
“We want more… and we need more.”
More than surface-level faith.
More than showing up and going through the motions.
More than living stuck, isolated, and alone.
That hunger led to the first Stronger Man retreat—just 16 men, stepping away for a weekend with one purpose: to pursue God and press into whatever He had for them.
There were no expectations. No performance. Just a group of men willing to be real.
And God met them there.
What started as a small step of obedience has now grown into a movement of men pursuing freedom, brotherhood, and a deeper relationship with Christ.
But this isn’t just a story about one man—or even 16 men.
It’s a call.
A call to step out of isolation.
A call to drop the mask.
A call to become the man God created you to be.
No matter where you are today—stuck, searching, or ready for more—God is still inviting you into something deeper.
Freedom is possible.
Brotherhood is real.
And your story isn’t over.
